Outlaws add goaltender Robert Bymers
Head coach Don Babineau recently welcomed a new piece to the puzzle in goaltender Robert Bymers.
"We are excited to have Robert on board, said Babineau. "He is a big body and moves well for his size. He comes from a good hockey background being he played in the Wayzata youth programs which is one of the biggest in the state of Minnesota."
Born in Alexandria, Bymers is a graduate of Wayzata High School. Last season the 6'1 netminder attended Dallas Baptist University where he played with the ACHA team.
"I'm looking forward to being a part of the Isanti community," commented Bymers. "I've heard nothing but great things on how supportive the town is with their hockey team. We look to turn some heads this year and put a winning team on the ice. There is nothing better than being able to continue to play the greatest sport on earth at this level and strive to hit our team goals."
"Robert takes his game seriously; from staying in top notch shape to his nutrition," added Babineau. "That's the type of player we want here in Isanti. Players that take their game to the next level and have good habits not only on the ice but off as well. He has a year of college under his belt which should help him from the start. We look for Robert to be an impact goalie for us to be a difference maker. He is a smart kid and wants to do whatever it takes to help this team win and make a championship run."
